Each TurboScribe Unlimited license permits one person to use TurboScribe.
If you have multiple people using your TurboScribe account, Device Management helps you purchase additional licenses for these users. Device Management enables you to easily manage your TurboScribe account when it’s used by multiple people across multiple computers or browsers.
This article explains what Device Management is, how we count devices, what happens if you exceed your device limit, and the easiest ways to stay within your plan.
What is Device Management?
If you're sharing a single TurboScribe account with multiple users, TurboScribe sets a limit on the number of devices that can use your TurboScribe account at the same time. Your device limit equals the number of licenses on your plan. Device Management allows you to purchase additional licenses to increase the number of permitted devices on your account, as well as manage active sessions on your account.
Example: If your account has 10 licenses, you can use TurboScribe on 10 devices at once. If an 11th device signs in, the least‑recently active device will be signed out automatically.
What counts as a "device"?
A device is a unique combination of:
- The hardware (e.g., a laptop or desktop), and
- The browser session used to sign in to TurboScribe.
Different computers count as different devices. Using a different browser (or a separate browser profile) on the same computer may also count as a separate device.
How does Device Management work?
If you sign in on more devices than your license count allows:
TurboScribe checks which device was least recently active.
That device is signed out.
We recommend matching licenses to real usage. Count the devices that regularly use the account, then purchase that many licenses.
FAQs
Why am I seeing a warning about devices? You’ve used TurboScribe on more devices than your plan currently supports. You can keep working on your current device, but another device will be signed out. Purchase additional licenses to increase the number of active devices on your account.
Will I lose any files if a device is signed out? No. Your files and transcripts stay in your account. If a device is signed out automatically, you can sign back in on that device later—space permitting.
Can I remove a device from my list? Yes, signing out from that device removes it from your active device list. If a device you no longer use is still listed, you can sign out from that device (you can do this on the "Account Settings" page).
How many devices can I add? As many as you need. Your allowed device count scales with the number of licenses you purchase. You can view your current licenses and devices on the Account Settings page under the "Device Management" section.
